During the New Year's Day holiday, Zhongshan's tourism system constantly enriched supply of culture and tourism products and organized various culture and tourism activities both online and offline. Statistics show that the monitored tourism attractions in Zhongshan received a total of 238,800 tourists during the 3-day holiday.
Culture and tourism departments across Zhongshan had organized various cultural activities and people-benefit tourism activities. Country tours, folk customs tours and eco-tours rebounded, while intangible cultural heritage study tours, folk culture tours and family tours enjoyed great popularity.
Many attractions presented impressive theme shows. For example, the Chinese Fad Light & Shadow Art Festival held in the Zhongshan Studio City, an attraction in the Tourism Area of Sun Yat-sen Hometown, attracted many residents from surrounding areas for an immersive experience of shining stars.
Zhongshan's public cultural venues launched many exhibitions online in addition to wonderful activities. At Zhongshan Museum, three exhibitions were held concurrently. With the theme of "Sail to the Ocean under the Stars", a special exhibition of maritime relics in the 15th-19th centuries was held at Lingdingyang Hall, bringing alive the world history of marine navigation with 190 pieces/sets of world maritime relics from five continents.
