Zhongshan announced through an action plan to renovate and upgrade at least 30 farmers markets into new-type "Xiangshan Farmers Markets" with local folk culture values and innovative management modes. These markets will be of reasonable layout, clean environment, complete amenities, standard management, integrity operation and unique characteristics.
The action plan proposes to develop featured brands by integrating local customs, culture, food and other local elements into markets' appearance, layout, operation and design. It is encouraged to introduce brand operators to enhance shopping experience and create brand markets.
Tasks also include new logos of the "Xiangshan Farmers Markets", establishment of special service areas in the markets, and construction of the "Xiangshan Online Market" platform.
