The 6th Zhongshan "Citizen Cup" Badminton open kicked off on Jul 31st. Jointly sponsored by Zhongshan Bureau of Education and Sports and Zhongshan Daily Newspaper Group, the championships are organized by Zhongshan Badminton Association and Zhongshan Pictorial. More than 1,200 citizens participate in the championships. The number of participants hit record high.
The championships last for two days. Champions of all programs will be released today. It is learned that the championships were divided into 16 groups with the minimum age of 15. According to our journalists, many family teams compete in family or double programs. Many foreigners in Zhongshan also participated in the championships. Many players have participated in the championships several times, some even 6 times.
