Ninety-five garment workers from 43 garment manufacturers across Zhongshan on November 28 competed their theoretical knowledge and cutting and sewing skills in the third campus training base of Zhongshan Industry and Trade Vocational School in Banfu Town.

The contestants first completed a 1.5-hour written test on garment theoretical knowledge, then entered the 2-hour cheongsam cutting competition, finally advancing to the 3-hour sewing competition.

After strict scoring and appraisal by a judging panel composed of seven clothing industry experts, the contestant from Zhongshan Gaodu Clothing Co Ltd in Shaxi Town won first place.
