Zhongshan's Cuiheng New District is planning to build three open cooperation platforms, namely the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Economic Cooperation Zone, the Hong Kong-Zhongshan High-quality Development Cooperation Zone, and the Singapore Zhongshan Biomedical City, aiming to develop connection to the global innovation resources in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Singapore and other places and carry out cross-regional industrial cooperation on a wider scale.

At present, Zhongshan has planned the construction of the 66-square-kilometer Shenzhen-Zhongshan Economic Cooperation Zone, some 53.5 square kilometers are in Cuiheng New District. Cuiheng New District will focus on introducing relevant upstream and downstream enterprises through such cooperation modes as "Headquarters in Shenzhen & Base in Zhongshan Base", "R&D in Shenzhen & Achievement Transformation in Zhongshan" and "Chain owner in Shenzhen & Supporting Facility in Zhongshan".

Cuiheng New District has planned to build the Hong Kong-Zhongshan High-quality Development Cooperation Zone in a 50-square-kilometers area, focusing on biomedicine, medical equipment, mass health, health management, next-gen information technology, artificial intelligence, new materials, intelligent manufacturing among other industries. It will develop into a new model of "Technology Innovation in Hong Kong plus Made in Zhongshan", "Youth from Hong Kong start businesses in Zhongshan" and "Talent from Hong Kong work in Zhongshan".

Cuiheng New District has been advancing the construction of Singapore Zhongshan Biomedical City. Centering on the mass health industry, the Biomedical City will introduce upstream and downstream enterprises and research institutions for R&D and achievement transformation, medical services, talent recruitment, high-end business and financial cooperation. It will open a new window for Cuiheng New District to establish connection to the global biomedical resources.
