The Nuclear Power Institute of China (NPIC) additive center under China National Nuclear Corporation recently issued the appraisal certificate to HBD, a laser powder bed fusion technology developer and additive machine manufacturer in Zhongshan. It marked the Longyan 400 model had become the first certified 3D printer of metal for nuclear-grade products in China.

The Longyan series printers, jointly developed by HBD and the NPIC, adopt multiple measures to improve the reliability.
