The renovation period of the Zhongshan 2nd Bridge will be extended to December 31, 2024, according to a notice issued by the housing, traffic police and other departments on August 14.

There will be traffic control implemented during the period. The motorways and non-motorways on both directions will be closed to traffic, and the sidewalks will be open, allowing pedestrians and two-wheelers to pass through. All traffic will be prohibited during key construction stages.

The Zhongshan 2nd Bridge has a total length of 617 meters and a width of 40 meters. It has been in operation for 29 years since 1995.
