The high-profile phase II project of the Henglan Sewage Treatment Plant was put into trial run on November 22.

The project costs an investment of 112 million yuan and it is designed to be able to treat a volume of 30,000 tons of waste per day. It uses the domestic leading A/A/O micro-aeration oxidation ditch technology, and the water it discharged can reach the first-class of A standard clarified in Discharge Standard of Pollutant for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants. The project also includes a newly built sewage pipe network of 11.5 kilometers in the Maohui Industrial Zone.

The construction site of the phase III project is basically determined. Its designed treatment capacity is 50,000 tons per day, and the land area covered is about 6.7 hectares. After it is put into operation, the sewage treatment capacity of the whole town will be increased to 90,000 tons per day.

In addition, Henglan Town has also promoted the construction of the second phase of the Jiuqing Pumping Station located at the entrance of Xijiang River of Gongbei River, and it will be completed and put into use in 2023.
