Phase III of the Minzhong Sewage Treatment Plant, the first "rapid groundbreaking" project of sewage treatment and utilities in Zhongshan, started construction on September 7.
There are currently three sewage treatment plants in Minzhong District, each constructed separately as sewage treatment plant phase I (with a treatment capability of 10,000 tons/day), phase II (with a treatment capability of 10,000 tons/day), and Shazai sewage treatment plant (with a treatment capability of 5,000 tons/day).
Minzhong District has actively promoted the upgrading of infrastructure such as sewage treatment plants. After the Phase III project is completed, the average daily sewage treatment capacity of Minzhong District will increase over twofold. Thereafter, Minzhong District is expected to have the capacity to fully collect and treat all sewage in its jurisdiction.
The project is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2023.
