Zhongshan recently released new policy measures to further promote the development of the new energy industry and specialized, refined, differential and innovative enterprises. These policies will take effect until December 31, 2025.

Focusing on strategic areas such as wind power, photovoltaics, hydrogen energy and energy storage, Zhongshan has rolled out 10 measures to provide support in project investment, technological breakthroughs, scenarios applications and etc.

Specifically, for enterprises doing research to tackle choke points in such areas as wind power hydrogen production and solid-state battery, a maximum subsidy of 10 million yuan will be provided. Key laboratories and engineering centers will be eligible for a maximum subsidy of 10 million yuan. For laboratories and R&D centers co-built by the government and enterprises, the financial contribution ratio can reach a maximum of 30% or 50 million yuan.

Enterprises building digital, intelligent demonstration factories will be eligible for a maximum reward of 5 million yuan. New energy technical reform projects can apply for subsidies covering 20% of the investment in equipment and software, with a maximum amount of 20 million yuan for a single project.

To support the development of SRDI enterprises, maximum rewards for innovation carrier construction of 10 million yuan, 5 million yuan and 3 million yuan will be granted to those recognized as national key laboratories and engineering technology research centers, national enterprise technology centers, and national engineering research centers, respectively.

Zhongshan will develop guidelines for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, and promote SRDI "little giant" enterprises to build digital lighthouse factories. Eligible projects will be granted a maximum subsidy of 2 million yuan.

Support will be provided for SRDI enterprises to build industry platforms for digital transformation of industrial chains, with a maximum reward of 2 million yuan. For chain owner SRDI enterprises that drive the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in such key industries as home appliances, lighting, and hardware and locks, a reward of up to 2 million yuan will be given.
