"Policies and Measures for Cultivating Leading Enterprises of Zhongshan" was officially issued recently.
According to the measures, by 2035, Zhongshan strives to add 3 to 5 new enterprises with independent core technologies. Such enterprises should rank in the top three in their industries nationwide, and have a main business income or market value of no less than 100 billion yuan. They shall become the leaders of similar domestic enterprises and play an important supporting role.
According to the measures, Zhongshan will focus on cultivating leading enterprises in such areas as new generation of information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, health medicine, new materials and new energy.
There are currently more than 50,000 industrial enterprises in Zhongshan. More than 3,400 of them are enterprises above designated size, but less than 10 have a business income or market value reaching 10 billion yuan.
