On Nov. 7th, the International Food Fair 2010, China (Huangpu, Zhongshan) came to a conclusion. During the fair, the volume of investment and trade hit 3.8 billion yuan. More than 40 projects boasted a volume of more than 50 million yuan.

This year’s food fair broke the records in four aspects. More than 300 food businesses home and abroad took part in this event; more than 1000 kinds of food were on display, which hit historical high; more than 128 foreign businesses, which were 48% of the total businesses present, higher than that of last year by 3%, attended the fair, there were more than 3000 purchasing groups with more than 30000 visitors, which were higher than those of last year by 50% respectively. The food fair introduced South China University of Technology, Northeast Agricultural University, Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering, the provincial agricultural academy, the provincial public laboratory of agricultural processing and experiment to Huangpu town with their intellectual support. Meanwhile, research and development centers, appraisal institutes and test stations were also established.
