A 3,000-ton-class platform supply vessel constructed by Guangxin Shipbuilding & Heavy Industry Co was recently launched in Zhongshan's East Hengmen Water Channel.

The GS13169 vessel is 79.92 meters long, 21 meters wide, 7.2 meters high, and has a tare weight of 3,150 metric tons. The maritime authority of Zhongshan offered comprehensive services to ensure the launching of the vessel.

This platform supply vessel is specifically designed and manufactured to serve offshore oil platforms. It can provide such services as supplying, towing, anchor handling, rescuing and guarding, firefighting and etc. It will be put into use in June 2024.
