Guangdong Shenghua Shipping Co Ltd recently completed the application procedures for the operation of its newly-built ship "Shenghua Fazhan", the first 10,000-ton coastal transport ship in Zhongshan.
"Shenghua Fazhan" is Zhongshan's first domestic coastal transport ship. It was built by Guangdong Shenghua Shipping Co Ltd with an investment of over 100 million yuan and is registered with the China Classification Society. It has a total length of 143.48 meters, a breadth of 40.2 meters, a depth of 9.2 meters, and a total tonnage of 14,584 tons, setting a new record for the maximum tonnage of a single ship in Zhongshan.
"Shenghua Fazhan" will mainly function in the transportation business of ordinary cargo ships along China's coastline, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and the Pearl River system, with a long transportation distance, which will effectively increase the average waterway transportation distance capabilities in Zhongshan and provide sufficient impetus for the steady growth of the total turnover of waterway transportation in Zhongshan.
