Phase 1 of the Homa Refrigerator Intelligent Manufacturing Base was put into operation in Zhongshan's Nantou Town on November 18.
With a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan and a building area of 280,000 square meters, the manufacturing base includes three workshop buildings, a 15-storey living building, and a 16,000-square-meter logistics center. It is expected to provide 2,500 jobs for locals in the future.
It is reported that Homa is expected to surpass 10 billion yuan in sales again by the end of this year, and move towards the goal of surpassing 15 billion yuan within the next five years.
At present, Homa has 10,000 employees around the world, and has 10 major production bases in Nantou Town, with an annual production capacity of 16 million refrigerators, making it the world's largest refrigerator manufacturing base.
Phase 2 of Homa's intelligent manufacturing base is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
