A concert was held on the evening of October 18 at Zhongshan Culture & Art Center, marking the opening of the 2020 China City Choral Festival and Zhongshan Choral Season.
This year's choral festival includes the opening ceremony, an online chorus performance, choral music training courses, a scenic tour of Zhongshan, and more. The full event will be broadcast live on such digital platforms as the National Public Culture Online Broadcast, Zhongshan Culture and Tourism Online and the Zhongshan mobile phone APP.
At the opening concert, the Chinese Choral Association presented Zhongshan with a plaque recognizing the "Chinese Choral Association Network Training Base".
Since the establishment of the first national choral training base in 2006, Zhongshan has been committed to building the "Choral City of China". For more than 10 years, Zhongshan has insisted on holding at least one large-scale national chorus activity every year and running the Zhongshan Choral Season.
The 2020 China City Choral Festival and Zhongshan Choral Season will last until December.
